Lake is a body of fresh water surrounded by land. Rajasthan has many picturesque natural lakes and also man made lakes which is used to store water for drinking as well as for irrigation purpose.
This lake is situated in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It was originally built by Maharana Jai Singh later it was rebuilt by Maharana Fateh Singh after which the lake was named. This lake is connected to Lake Pichhola through a steep canal.
Ana Sagar Lake is wonderful man made lake situated in north of Ajmer. It was built in 12th century and was named after ruler named Anaji Chauhan. It was reconstructed by Jehangir and Shahjahan the Mughal emperors.

Local folks of this place are called Bishnoi and are well known for conserving wildlife. This lake in Rajasthan was once a hunting spot of the kings. The place is full with the scenic beauty.
